Flip Spot is a small acrobatics game. Each attempt starts on a platform. You launch the character, rotate in the air, and try to meet the ground on both feet. The flip is only half of the score. The landing is the other half. If you are still turning when you touch down, the attempt fails.
The spots get harder. Early jumps give you time to see the rotation. Later jumps ask for more than one trick in the same airtime, or a landing that comes up faster than you expected. Coins from successful landings unlock more tricks. The new trick is another thing to fail until the release is familiar.
You do not steer around a course. The platform, the air, and the landing spot are the whole level. That makes the game easy to start and strict about timing. Most attempts fail. The failures are the practice.

Coins are for a trick you can already land in practice, not for a trick you hope will be easier. A harder trick on a short platform is a slower way to earn the next coin. Clear the spot you have, then buy.
If a spot fails in the same way three times, change the release earlier by a small amount. Do not add a second flip to a jump that cannot land one. Height and airtime are the limit. A combination that needs more air than the platform gives will never land, no matter how clean the first rotation looks.
Use Curve Rush when you want a longer run. Flip Spot is a better break between those runs than it is a replacement for them. The release skill transfers. The sport does not.
